About This Rule
Counts your days in Taiwan each taxable year, 1 January to 31 December. If you have no domicile in Taiwan, you are a resident once you have stayed there for a total of 183 days or more in the taxable year. The official count leaves out the day you arrive and includes the day you leave, while the app counts both, so it can flag a day early but never late. A domicile in Taiwan where you ordinarily reside also makes you resident, and this tracks the day count only.
