United Kingdom: 180 days away in any 12 months (ILR)
No more than 180 days outside the UK in any 12 months
About This Rule
For indefinite leave to remain on most routes, continuous residence is broken if you are outside the UK for more than 180 days in any 12-month period, unless the absence is for a permitted reason. Only whole days away count, so the days you leave and return are not absences. The app counts only the days you've recorded outside the UK, and some routes and older permissions are counted differently, so this tracks the day count only.

Ready-made rules count your days against the limits the law names. They don't decide your visa or residency status, and many laws add conditions a day count can't see.
