New Zealand: more than 325 days away in 12 months
At least 326 days away from New Zealand in any 12 months
About This Rule
For New Zealand tax residents: counts the days you were away from New Zealand in the 12 months ending each day. You become a non-resident if you are away for more than 325 days in any 12-month period and have no permanent place of abode in New Zealand; a day spent partly in New Zealand is not a day away. Days with nothing recorded in the app don't count as away. This tracks the day count only.
Also Requires
- No permanent place of abode in New Zealand

Ready-made rules count your days against the limits the law names. They don't decide your visa or residency status, and many laws add conditions a day count can't see.
