Tax

Switzerland: 30 days with work

One stay in Switzerland of under 30 days while working there

About This Rule

Counts how long your current stay in Switzerland has lasted: staying at least 30 days while working there gives you a tax residence, and temporary interruptions don't break the stay. The law gives no day limit for those interruptions, so the app starts a new stay after any recorded day abroad, and your legal stay can be longer than the count. Living in Switzerland with the intention of staying for good is a separate test.

Also Requires

  • Gainful work in Switzerland during the stay

Ready-made rules count your days against the limits the law names. They don't decide your visa or residency status, and many laws add conditions a day count can't see.
