Vietnam: 183 days in 12 months from arrival

Under 183 days in any 12-month period

About This Rule

Counts your days in Vietnam in the 12 months ending each day. You are a resident individual if you are present in Vietnam for 183 days or more over 12 consecutive months from your first day in Vietnam. The app checks every 12-month window, not only the one starting on your first arrival, so it never flags later than the law. This tracks the day count only.

Ready-made rules count your days against the limits the law names. They don't decide your visa or residency status, and many laws add conditions a day count can't see.
