Visa

Thailand: 30 days per stay (visa exemption)

Up to 30 days per stay without a visa

About This Rule

Counts the days of your current stay in Thailand. Under the Visa Exemption Scheme, travellers from 60 countries and territories can enter without a visa for up to 30 days, for tourism only; Seychelles and Mauritius get 15 days, bilateral agreements give some nationalities 90, 30 or 14 days, and others need a visa. The 30 days replaced the 60-day exemption on 15 September 2026, and your entry stamp shows the last day you may stay. Entries under the exemption are limited to twice a calendar year (at land borders, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand), and you can ask immigration to extend your stay by up to 30 days.

Ready-made rules count your days against the limits the law names. They don't decide your visa or residency status, and many laws add conditions a day count can't see.
