Tax

Thailand: 180 days in a tax year

Under 180 days in Thailand each calendar year

About This Rule

Counts your days in Thailand each tax year, which is the calendar year. Any person staying in Thailand for a period or periods aggregating 180 days or more in a tax year is deemed a resident of Thailand; the days don't need to be consecutive. This tracks the day count only.

Ready-made rules count your days against the limits the law names. They don't decide your visa or residency status, and many laws add conditions a day count can't see.
