Japan: 90 days per stay (visa exemption)
Up to 90 days per stay without a visa
About This Rule
Counts the days of your current stay in Japan. Visitors from the countries and regions with a visa exemption arrangement are granted 90 days on landing, except nationals of Indonesia and Thailand (15 days) and of Brunei and Qatar (30 days); a few nationalities can extend to up to 6 months. The period you are granted is set on landing, and other nationalities need a visa. This tracks the day count only.

Ready-made rules count your days against the limits the law names. They don't decide your visa or residency status, and many laws add conditions a day count can't see.
